Our Fox Cities partners developed an exciting master plan for an off-road trail connecting to High Cliff State Park. A plan is the start, and implementing it much more difficult. It has been our good fortune to have Lynda Fink (Trail Strategies) as our Trail Coordinator.
Lynda knows trails and has all the insights into how to approach project development, granting programs to leverage our investments, and all the intricacies to do this right the first time. We are well on our way, thanks for strong partners and the guidance of our Trail Coordinator. I’ve learned a lot about taking plans to implementation, and it always involves good people. We have that in Lynda.Curt Detjen, President and CEO of the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region
I've worked with Lynda for over 10 years. She has helped the City of Greenfield make the Powerline Trail a reality after many years of being a seemingly unobtainable dream. The trail has become a catalyst for the further development of an east to west regional corridor which will span four communities and connect the popular Oak Leaf trail all the way to Lake Michigan.
Lynda's knowledge and enthusiasm for all aspects of trail development, from preliminary concept through design and construction oversight, has been invaluable to the success of Greenfield’s trail system. Lynda has successfully secured four state and federal grants for three different phases of our trails. Her understanding of the process and ability to navigate through the red-tape sets her apart from the rest.Jeff Katz, Greenfield City Engineer
For the past four years, I have had the pleasure of working with Lynda Fink to advance the Route of the Badger trail system in Southeastern Wisconsin.
As a collaborator, she has been one of the project's biggest cheerleaders, while also serving as the group's head realist. Lynda has the unique ability to see what is possible, and also recognize the challenges that will need to be overcome to make it reality. In every instance Lynda is extremely professional, knowledgeable and sensitive to the diverse needs of different trail user groups. Lynda's expertise and passion for trails and Wisconsin’s outdoor recreation heritage is demonstrated in her ability to solve problems and collaborate with stakeholders to move projects forward. I look forward to working with her for years to come!Kirsten Finn, Executive Director of Wisconsin Bike Federation
I have been working with Lynda for the past five years and I each time I meet with her I learn something new.
She is a wealth of information and has helped me immensely in my work building the Rails to Trails Conservancy, Route of the Badger trail network. I look forward to working with her further and collaborating on as many projects as I can with her.Willie Karidis, Route of the Badger of Rails to Trails Conservancy, Project Manager
